Templed Hills is excited to announce that we will be hosting a small get together of past staff and supporters on October 27th.

Here is a message from our Board;

Dear Former Staff Members & Friends,

It's a new day at Templed Hills! As of September 15, 2007, Nick Mastin is the new Site Director at the camp. He has been the Program Director for the past two years. Gregg Kernes, the Director at Camp Buckhorn, has agreed to be the Conference Camping Manager (overseeing both Templed Hills & Buckhorn).

The Templed Hills board would like to invite you to a "gathering." This will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2007, from 3:00 to 4:30 in the afternoon, at Templed Hills. You can look forward to seeing old friends, sharing your ideas for the future, and enjoying the beauty of the camp setting.

October Certification Course

Templed Hills is proud to announce that we will be hosting the next Camp & Retreat Certification Course:

Volunteer and Staff Hiring, Training and Supervision for Non-Profit Organizations.

The course will be held Oct. 7-12, can be taken for 2 or 3 credits and is being put on by Drew University.

Happy 50th!

Our 50th anniversary celebration went well! Over 200 people celebrated, enjoyed activities (the 500 foot zipline was a lot of fun), and shared memories about the way camp has changed lives over the past 50 years.

A special thanks goes to the band Big Fish Story for providing music and worship.

We can't wait to see what God has in store for the next 50 years!

Summer at Templed Hills

God is a great! God provided an amazing staff and the kids are really enjoying their first day at camp (Today is the first day of our summer camp programs)!

Our theme this summer is "On the Way" and we can already tell that we are on the way to having a summer filled with joy & excitement.

Thank you God for blessing us with this amazing place & incredible staff!!!

Male Counselor Needed

Archers Among Us!!!

Two Templed Hills Staff Members, Cyndi & Nick, passed the test and are now recognized as certified archery instructors by USA Archery & the National Field Archery Association! Congratulations!!!

Second Winter

Over the last few days Winter has revisited Templed Hills in the form of a blizzard!!! Our guests have enjoyed a second chance to make snow people & travel through a wooded winter wonderland.

A New Volunteer Joins the Team!

Today a new volunteer has joined us!!! Her name is Jo Reed & she found us through the Volunteer In Missions organization (VIM).

Jo is a retired nurse who has been traveling around the world & helping in a variety of missions. She has some great stories!!! Be sure to ask her about her adventures the next time you are up the mountain.

For the next 5 months she will be our Host. Guest groups will enjoy her friendly, easy-going & hospitable personality!

We are so glad to welcome such a wonderful person to our team!

New Office Manager!!!

Our Office Manager has arrived!!! We are really excited to welcome Cyndi to the team. She has experience in hospitality & a wealth of knowledge in offices of various types.

Cyndi has camped throughout most of her life & is very excited to be here. She brings a lot of skills, experience & joy to the ministry at Templed Hills.

Welcome Center In The Works

Allen & Jake have begun converting the old Director cottage into our new Welcome Center!!! We are all very excited about having a space that is tailored to our camps's administrative needs & that is more convienent for our guests!

A New Kitchen Connoisseur

Some of you may have noticed that, recently, our delicious food has become even more delectable! More of our food is being cooked from scratch & some amazing new recipes are tempting the taste buds of our guests.

June, our new Food Service Director, has been doing a wonderful job of pleasing guest palates! Please thank her the next time she makes your

taste buds tango.

She has worked at Templed Hills as a part time cook & has a background in catering & overseas missions.

We are very greatful to have June as part of our team!

Visiting Wesley Chapel in Boulder

This Sunday evening Nick will be giving the sermon for Wesley Chapel at the University of Colorado in Boulder. The topic is "Turkey Evangelism, S'more Discipleship."

Upcoming Events

There are a number of things in the works & we wanted to make sure that you don't miss out!

This February 14th we will be hosting a Valentine's Banquet! The food is going to be amazing. When you come you will enjoy an appetizer followed by Stuffed Chicken Breast, a Full Salad Bar, Vegetarian Quiche, Glazed Carrots, Homemade Cheesecake & a Chocolate Fountain!

National Conference

Tomorrow Tim & Nick are heading to the National Camp & Retreat Leaders Conference in Alabama. This will be a great eduacational opportunity. They will be attending a number of workshops & seminars that will help Templed Hills be the best that it can be!

Fun In The Snow

We have had a lot of snow this winter & a lot of fun. Our guests have taken advantage of the snow by trying out our snow tubing hills. Adults & children have had a great time sliding down our hills!
